<div itemprop="description">Helen Geraldine Kennedy (nee Way-White) <br /> <br />October 28, 1924 ~ March 13, 2013 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />On March 13, 2013 Helen passed away at home with her family. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Helen will be remembered by her sons D'Arcy (Valerie), and Thomas (Kismet); daughter Geraldine Frances (Stephen); grandchildren Adrienne (Sheldon), Collin, Ashleigh (Stacey), Sabrina (James), and Keishia. Helen will also be missed by her sister Marie Popham as well as many other extended family and friends. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Helen was predeceased by her loving husband Ernest &quot;Ernie&quot;; parents Clarence Egbert and Mabel Constance Way-White; siblings Catherine, Constance, Charlotte, Ethel, John, Celia, Terrence, and Josephine. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Helen loved being with her family and friends. Her many talents and interests included a career as a cytotechnologist, and later working in the family business, playing piano, cards, writing poetry and children's stories, Toastmasters, fishing with her husband, and travel with family. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />A celebration of Helen's life will be held on Thursday, March 21st at 7:00 pm at Howard &amp; McBride Chapel of Chimes, 10179 108 Street, with a reception to follow. Please feel free to wear 'happy' colours in Helen's honour. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The family would like to thank Ninna Sparks for her unfailing friendship, Driving Miss Daisy for their companionship, her caregivers, and Dr. James McDonald. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen's name may be made to the Salvation Army or charity of choice.</div>
