<div itemprop="description">RICHARDSON, Doreen Celina (McBride) On April 10, 2016, Doreen Richardson of Sherwood Park passed away peacefully at the age of 89. Doreen is survived by her loving children: daughter Cindy of Winnipeg; sons, Craig (Sherry) of Athabasca, Scott (Jolene) of Sherwood Park, Ross (Julie) of Sherwood Park; grandchildren, Cole, Brent, Gareth, Keagan, Haley, Emily, and Matthew. She is also survived by her brother Rod, and sisters Josie, Irene, and Sheila. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Al Richardson, in 2011. Doreen was born in Montreal, Quebec in 1927. She met Al while she worked at the switchboard for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in Ottawa. They moved to Sherwood Park in 1958 where they raised their four children. Doreen worked as receptionist at Russel Steel in Edmonton from the mid-1970s until retirement. Cremation has taken place, and a private family interment will take place at a future date. She will be lovingly remembered as a dedicated, kind, generous mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be missed by all. Doreen&rsquo;s family would like to thank Capital Care Strathcona nurses, staff, and doctors for their compassion and excellent care. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Alzheimer's Society.</div>
